How to make your own Rose Oil

This Rose Oil is ever so easy to make and it is perfect for scenting your Pot-Pourri.

A delicious idea we love, is to use a dash of the rose oil in your fruit salads, it's gorgeous!

It does require patience, but it's worth it.

ingredients
500ml Light Olive Oil
plenty of scented fresh Rose Petals

method
Place the Oil into a jar and push as many petals into the oil as you can, be very, very generous. Place sealed jar in a sunny place for up to a week.

Strain the oil out of the jar, saving it. Press the petals to remove all the oil. Then repeat the whole process, from the beginning using the strained oil and fresh rose petals.

Continue in this manner over and over, for a good 5 times (5 weeks) depending on the perfume qualities of your petals. The oil should smell (and taste) very strongly of roses at the end. Store in an airtight bottle.
